Hurricane Gustav was the culprit in the damage incurred by the M/V Gandy Dancer. The vessel was struck by a tornado leaving the upper tower twisted and the vessel structurally damaged where the tower was attached. The damage to the tower was so extensive that the owner had the tower removed before bringing the vessel to Orange Beach.
Saunders Yachtworks challenge was to bring the Dancer back with a structurally sound fly bridge and hard top. All interior, deck, and hull damages were repaired to owner’s specification. Finally, there were several vessel systems updates that the owner chose while the vessel repair was underway. The completed work included:
